'A World in Motion' PSA Starring Ryan Newman to Debut

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Our world needs young engineers, and Ryan Newman, driver of the Alltel Dodge for Penske Racing in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, is promoting an SAE International program designed to fulfill that need.

Newman is featured in a television public service announcement promoting SAE International's "A World in Motion," an award-winning educational program that focuses on the study of math and science for students in grades K through 12.

The PSA, which has received Ad Council endorsement, will debut beginning Monday, July 23, in the Indianapolis market. The timing coincides with the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, the NASCAR Nextel Cup race set for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 29.

Newman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vehicle Structure Engineering from Purdue University in August 2001, and before that was a member of the National Honor Society and an honors graduate of South Bend LaSalle High School in 1996.
