Winner of My California Kodak Tickets Give Away Tells About His Race Day

Sal Sigala was on of the winners of California Tickets Give Away. Below is the email (unedited) that he sent me about his VERY hot day at California Speedway.

"Well our day started by arriving at the track by 8:00 A.M. It was already about 90 degrees and I could tell that we were in for a hot one. We bar b qued, and drank lots of water. There were 4 of us that went. Me and my 3 nephews. We are christians so we dont drink. I remember those days. I dont know how I would have survived. Anyways about 4:00 me and my 1 nephew went in because one of the other ones got heat exhaustion. It was there first race and probably my 20 or 25th race. I used to go to Riverside when it was opened as well as have been to Kansas,Phoenix,Las Vegas,Infineon, and the old Mesa Marin. Then I ususally go to the Long beach Grand Prix as well as the Drag Racing in Pomona. I also used to go to the IRL and Cart races at California. And still go to see short track racing at Irwindale Raceway which is about 10 minutes from my house. It was good race up until about 70 laps left then it turned into a typical California race. But man was it hot. Alot hotter then last year. I went to qualifying on Friday and it was hot and humid. All in all it was a very enjoyable race day, especially being able to spend it with my nephews who have never been there. All the seats that were around us were empty, so I dont think that the other contest winners made it. If they didnt, to bad because I see a Nascar fan as one who would brave the heat or cold to see there favorite drivers, in person and up close. Once again thanks for the tickets, I really appreciated them. If you have any for the race in February I would gladly like a couple to be able to go again. Or if you have any for the NHRA coming up in November. Guaranteed that any race ticket you send my way will get used and not just treated as something free. I dont have that it was free anyways attitude, so if I dont use it no big thing. It is a big thing, Because maybe someone else would have wanted to go and maybe didnt because they didnt have a ticket. My thinking is, if you have no intention on going then say so, this way someone who wants to go can. Anyways thanks again so much for the tickets. "

Kodak Giving Away 75 Pairs Of NASCAR Tickets This Weekend

As part of Kodaks's promotional "Ink Ryan's Ride", Kodak will be giving away 75 pairs of tickets Satuday September 1st at Hollywood & Highland Center's Awards Walk. The first 75 people to bring in there old printers between 11am and 3pm on Saturday will win a pair of tickets for the Sharp AQUOS 500 at California Speedway.

The person that I have spoke with at KODAK really wants to give all these tickets away. So make sure you get your printers down to the Hollywood & Highland Center's Awards Walk. Printer or no printer you can go see KODAK's new paint scheme for Ryan Newman's #12 Kodak Dodge and get your picture taken with it.

The Ink Ryan's Ride contest had contestants come up with new paint schemes for the Ryan's Kodak Dodge. You can visit http://www.thinklikeryan.com/ to view the finalist. The winner will be unveiled Satuday at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

This is all part of a bigger promotional campaign for KODAK EASYSHARE All-in-One printers.

Also as part of this promotion, I was able to give away 10 tickets courtesy of KODAK for this Sunday's Sharp AQUOS 500 at California Speedway. I have asked the winners of my contest to let me know how there race day went so that I can share it on this site.

Seeing as the race is in California, I was not suprised at the amount of entries from California. Alot of people are probably in the same boat as me....there was no way they could make it to California Speedway for the race...even with free tickets.

Anyway, thanks again to Kodak for the opportunity. I will be here if they want to do something again.!!!!

Kodak Giving Away 10 Tickets To Fontana - Sept 2nd

Kodak has given me the opportunity to give away 10 NASCAR Nextel Cup tickets for the Sharp AQUOS 500 at Fontana’s California Speedway. Kodak has also said that I could keep 2 of the tickets for myself, but I really don’t think I will be able to go; so all 10 are up for grabs.


Tickets are for entry to the track and for your seats only. Nothing extra except for having a GREAT TIME!!

I will be giving 5 pairs of tickets away. If one of the entrants only wants one ticket, please let me know so that if that entrant is chosen, then I can give the other single ticket away as well.

If you don't win a ticket from me, then you can still try for a pair of tickets on September 1 from 11 am to 3 pm. Kodak will be giving away 75 pairs of tickets to the NASCAR Sharp AQUOS 500 race on September 2, 2007 at California Speedway. The first 75 fans to bring an old inkjet printer to the Hollywood & Highland Center's Awards Walk on Saturday, September 1 from 11 am to 3 pm will receive 2 tickets to the race! ! All printers will be sent to an electronics recycling center. Kodak Letting Me Give Away 10 NASCAR Tickets

Recently I was contacted by a Representative of Kodak. She asked me if I would be interested in giving away 10 tickets to a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race. These tickets will be for the race at Fontana's California Speedway for the Sharp AQUOS 500.

I am really excited about this. More so excited that I was contacted about it. The reason I was selected is because the person I have been speaking with at Kodak found this blog. She also runs(?) Kodak's website and is a blogger her self.

There are a couple of reasons that this race was selected. For starters Ryan Newman will be driving the #12 Kodak Dodge at that race. Also, Kodak recently hosted a competition for someone to come up with a design (paint scheme) for the Kodak Dodge driven by Ryan Newman. The winning paint scheme is going to be unveiled the day before the race.

I am really excited about this. This should be cool. With in the next couple of days I am going to come up with some way for me to decide who gets the tickets. I am thinking of a couple of diffent ways.

So, more than likely I will be giving away 5 pairs of tickets. Kodak told me that 2 of the tickets are mine if I want them. But for right now, I don't see how I can make it out to California. For starters, my fiance is almost 7 months pregnant (will be for that race) and we are still scraping together cloths, crib stuff and .....yeah....all that stuff. So I am pretty sure I will be giving away all 5 pairs.

So, stay tuned for your chance for tickets to the California Speedway. With in the next couple of days I will have something posted. Just as a heads up, these tickets are just for entrance and seats, nothing extra except for having a real good time.
