Ryan Newman Finishes 14th in the Pepsi 400

Ryan Newman had a great day in Daytona for the Pepsi 400. Newman ran in the top ten most of the day and in the top 5 for a lot of it.

Newman finished 14th after the last caution went green with about 10 to go. Newmans car was good, his drafting choices may not have been so good in the end. At one point he was up to 8th, but got shuffled back to about 16th at one point.

Newman started 14th, finished 14th and ended up 14th in point standings. Although he dropped one position in the standings, he did gain on the 12th place in standings. He is only 61 points from the 12 place chase positon.
